Jenggala Keramik 1 Jenggala Keramik, often referred to as simply ‘Jenggala’, is an internationally renowned Bali-based glass and fired-ceramic tableware design and manufacturing company. Jenggala started its endeavour in 1976 as a cottage industry in Batujimbar, Sanur, and now operates and showcases collections at its headquarters in Jimbaran.

Jenggala’s current headquarters boasts a workshop where guests and children can partake in various ‘paint-a-pot’ and pottery classes; a main showroom and gallery where art exhibitions are also held, and a cafe called Warung Keramik presenting a range of delicatessen and healthy beverages.

Jenggala has pioneered unique organic design styles, colour combinations and glazes prevalent throughout its ceramic tableware collection. Unique Jenggala items are featured at many restaurants, resorts and hotels in Bali and worldwide.

The company’s logo design and signature motif comprises the so-called Balinese motif of ‘cili’ – the stylized face and figure of Dewi Sri, the Hindu goddess of rice and fertility. Several items among its collection distinctively feature the signature motif, while another wide range of teapots, bowls, cups and saucers, vases, tissue boxes, salt n’ pepper shakers, plates and oil burners continue to evolve with innovative and inspiring shapes, forms and colours.

Besides its signature Cili collection, other motifs can be observed through the Frangipani, Frog, Bamboo, Lotus, ‘Pincuk’ or folded Banana Leaf and many other organic collections as well as collections to suit certain celebrations as reflected through its Valentine’s collection and Jenggala’s ‘Spirit of Winter’ for the Christmas season.

Jenggala’s Make-a-Pot and Paint-a-Pot programs enable guests and children of all ages to learn the art of pottery and produce their own keepsake ceramic creations through a fun workshop. The program promotes creativity and enables participants to create their own gifts for special occasions. Jenggala’s Make-and-Paint-a-Pot is available daily 09:00 – 17:00.

Warung Keramik is located within the showroom and features a cosy area with seating and tables which also regularly hosts Indonesian and international performing artists. Warung Keramik is open daily 09:00 – 23:00.

Good to Know about Jenggala Keramik Bali

Its name is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘jangala’ meaning ‘desert’. An extension of its sales is the Jenggala Factory Outlet located on Jalan Sunset Road in Kuta, which frequently features discount and promotional sale items. Gudang Keramik in Sanur sells their products in IDR instead of US$.

At the main Jenggala Building in Jimbaran, Jenggala’s air-conditioned shop is open daily from 08:00 – 20:00. To complement the extensive range of tableware, Jenggala also adds a selection of accessories such as chopsticks, cutleries, and linen to its collection.
